Fuyuan karst caves in Yunan open to public in time for summer

Xinhua, March 29, 2017 Adjust font size:

The Fuyuan karst caves in Yunnan province, March 27, 2017. A cluster of karst caves covering 4.2 kilometers to the west of Fuyuan county, Qujing city in Yunnan province, feature rarely seen stalagmites. The longest can reach 8 meters. At the entrance of the caves stand four naturally formed bridges, their heights ranging from 6 to 25m, creating a spectacular sight. The karst caves were discovered in the last century by local villagers and a protective development plan has been implemented since last April. It is expected that the scenic spot will open to the public in July this year.(Photo/Xinhua)
