Top 10 private enterprises in China

The list of the top 500 private enterprises in China was disclosed last week by the All-China Federation of Industry &Commerce. Huawei Investment &Holding topped the list with 395.01 billion yuan (US$53.82 billion) in operation revenues.

Suning Holdings Group and Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group ranked the second and third, with 350.29 billion yuan (US$52.5 billion) and 333.24 billion yuan (US$49.95 billion) in operation revenues, respectively. Last year's champion, Legend Holdings dropped to No. 4 on this year's list.

The total operating revenues of the top 500 enterprises is as much as 16.16 trillion yuan (US$2.42 trillion), up 10.06 percent over last year. Among these enterprises, five had operating revenues over 300 billion yuan (US$44.96 billion).

The threshold for the top 500 list exceeded 10 billion yuan (US$1.5 billion) for the first time in history, reaching 10.18 billion yuan (US$1.53 billion), which shows a year-on-year increase of 7 percent.
