Lufthansa to stop flights to Tel Aviv over safety concern

Xinhua, July 23, 2014 Adjust font size:

The German airline Lufthansa said Tuesday it would stop all flights to and from Tel Aviv for 36 hours due to Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.

Flights of Lufthansa and its subsidiaries Germanwings, Austrian Airlines as well as Swiss would be affected, according to a statement made to German media Die Welt and Spiegel Online.

The decision was made due to the "uncertain situation" at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport and for the "safety of passengers and crews," the statement said. Endi
