The research of the Scott Traction Transformer has a new breakthrough recently, with its main parameters reached or surpassed the related technology standards and its performance leading in China, according to the Science and Technology Department of Ningxia.

Scott Traction Transformer is one of the dedicated traction transformers of electric railways based on AT power supply. Being important equipment for the future development and construction of China's high-speed railway and passenger traffic lines, it has been applied in multiple electric railways in the country.

Wolong Electric Yinchuan Transformer Co., Ltd., the undertaker of the research program, has the production capability of Scott Traction Transformer of 1.2 million kVA per year, with the expected annual production value of 100 million yuan (US$15.87 million).
