CENC: M-7.1 Earthquake Hits Chile

An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale jolted central Chile at 6:37 AM Beijing Time Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 30 km, was initially determined to be at 35.1 degrees south latitude and 71.9 degrees west longitude.
