Léautier (M), vice president of the World Bank Institute, meets CnDG team leaders Li Jiaming (R2), vice president of China Internet Information Center and Wandi Jiang (R1), executive editor of CIIC on March 23, 2004 after she officially announced the Global Learning Process and Shanghai Conference on Scaling Up Poverty Reduction at a joint press conference in Beijing. The event was being held as part of a global effort to accelerate poverty reduction by assessing practices and sharing valuable knowledge among developing countries. The conference was held in Shanghai from May 25-27.
